The article below is about a friend and great dad Lanny. I know Lanny from another support group that I have been in, and I have followed his story for years. The amazing thing is Lanny lives in a society where fatherhood is not valued even as much as it is in the states when it comes to divorce. Parenting plans, what are they, and why do we need them? On January 1, 2008 HB 369 went into effect. Among other things this Bill requires all parties in a custody action after that date to submit a parenting plan to the courts as part of their hearing. The goal behind a successful parenting plan is to limit post trial litigation, and in turn provide a better more stable environment for the child(ren).
